Back to workbook review

Build Excel dashboards on your own computer.

Start in the browser. Install Gent Terminal only when you want Codex to create a permanent local dashboard or refresh approved vendor data.

Windows x64 · Version 0.2.0-pilot.1 · Unsigned internal pilot

From workbook review to a dashboard in three steps

01

Review your workbook here first

Use the browser workspace without signing in or installing anything. Confirm every chart and download the dashboard plan.

02

Install the local tools

Open the verified GitHub release, check its hash and permissions, then run the included PowerShell installer once.

03

Ask Codex to build it

Gent Terminal registers itself with Codex. Your dashboard is created in a folder you choose and continues to work offline.

What the installer changes

Installs Gent Terminal, a standalone Node runtime and gent-xlsx.exe under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Gent Terminal.

Registers nine Gent Terminal tools with Codex for the current Windows user.

Stores provider tokens only in Windows Credential Manager.

Creates no service, scheduled task, startup entry or workbook copy.

Uninstall removes the runtime and Codex registration while preserving your dashboard folders.

This build is not yet Windows code-signed. Do not disable Windows security controls. If SmartScreen, Defender or company policy blocks it, stop and ask your IT team to review the GitHub release, permissions manifest and SHA-256 hash.

Your workbook stays on this computer. Only a provider request you explicitly approve can leave the device.
